I use to have a cb radio and replaced it with a stereo. I was wondering if it is possible to get radio through the CB antenna? Because that's the only type of antenna I have,

Firestik makes a 3 ft tunable antenna that can fit almost any 3/8 in 24 thread CB mount. Also Wilson antennas makes a 3 ft tunable antenna too. Just remember, short antennas are a tuned compromise. They will not have equal performance like longer antennas will. At best you might be heard within a mile or so. Another thing to consider, buying the best radio on the market wont change that fact either. A good radio is important, but a good antenna is more important.. Hope that helped!

Well, technically, you could, but the connectors on the coax cable are large screw ins for a CB. You'd have to cut the end off the coax cable and replace the end with leads that you could screw to the antenna leads on the stereo.
The easier way to do AM/FM reception is to just take a couple of strands of wire and strip one end. Wind the stripped end onto the antenna screws on the stereo and tighten. Take the other ends and thumbtack them to the wall up and away from each other.

Absolutely...... It may work great or be mediocre...... If the antenna is a simple one with no tuning coil in the base then This should work quite well...... If its like a Wilson Mag Mount antenna with tuning coils in the base then it may not work well......
Just try it to find out --- It wont hurt anything......

No. The frequencies are way too far apart, and a Radio/TV antenna is under 10 bucks.

The cb antenna could pick up AM/FM radio but not as good as a dedicated car stereo antenna. A cb antenna is specifically tuned to the cb band (27MHz) while a car stereo antenna is tuned for the AM/FM broadcast band which is not in the 27MHz band.
Best option is to install a dedicated AM/FM stereo antenna.
