Not one Bay Area radio station plays '50s and '60s music anymore. All we get is Country, Hip-Hop, or Led Zepplin.

101.9FM used to play oldies 5 years ago. First, they turned country, and now it's all Rap.

99.7FM used to play oldies like 2 years ago. All they play now is Hip-Hop and Rap.

There is not one station that plays the oldies. Don't we have variety anymore? Not everyone listens to that ghetto s.h.i.t.

It's been years since I've heard a Beatles song on the radio.

Funny. I just answered a question from a young lady complaining she was bored because all she could get in her small town was oldies ;

Oldies are defined differently by different age groups. What I think of as oldies is what I was playing as a DJ 50+ years ago. A younger friend who is only in his 40's might consider the hip hop as oldies. A still younger person might consider only the music from the late 1990's as oldies. Radio stations play to the market, and if there are not sufficient people interested in a specific era of music you won;t hear much of it. I like the music of my fathers era, i.e. the 1940's but those folks are dying off and don't make up enough of an audience to be commercially viable.

Don't listen to corporate radio anymore, it sux. With stupid names like The Eagle, the Rocket, blah blah blah... Get satellite radio, find a college station, or go to itunes and find a nice podcast. Really, that's the way to go. I'm sure you'll find what you need at itunes (google "itunes podcast list" or "itunes podcast oldies") and I'm sure you'll find what you need.

It varies maybe from countries to countries or from places to places. Here in the Philippines (manila), during weekends, radio stations plays old songs. You can also make a request of the song you want to play for some radio stations.
