Radio 1 Hackney weekend 2012 application for tickets NOT WORKING?!?

Trying to book tickets for Hackney Weekend 2012 and everytime i click on book tickets it says "Access not permitted for your ip"

Any idea what this means? How the heck can I apply for tickets then? This is so unfair...

I was getting the IP address error. However a few more tries on the website and I'm now booking. Tickets available for all areas still.



So keep trying.



Just a case of server overload, and poor IT planning.

Also, I think this whole ticket allocation process is completely unfair. I get people from Hackney getting priority - completely understand that as its being held there. However, all these other 'Olympic areas' I don't think they should be included. I'm from Kent... about a 40 minute drive away so hardly far away. How can 'other parts of the UK' only have a 35% chance? It's ridiculous. They should just give Hackney 50% chance and the rest of the UK 50% chance so that it's fair!



I reckon the fact that they've blocked ip addresses means that they're allocating it to certain areas first too, which means they get dibs on their chosen date, most likely the Saturday! All the tickets for Saturday to see Rihanna are gonna go straight away. Pointless ticket application process. I'm really mad.

Even refreshing the page takes longer than 20 seconds, what a load of bull.

Edit: They've now ditched the automatic refresh, it simply says Refresh to try again



Got onto the booking page at 11Am, It's now 12:52PM and i've just got back onto it for the 8th time and they're sold out.

I live in Hackney and I'm getting exactly the same problem, I keep landing on the holding page and the phone lines are constantly busy. I live withing walking distance of the event so if I don't get to book i'll be pissed.

i live in hackey and it is also saying the same thing: access not permitted for IP. I think it is just the case of too many people trying to access the online booking system and phone lines: remember this is a free event so im not suprised if the systems have crashed!

I got mine after a hour and a half of trying, and I live in Somerset. If you find you get to the ticket stage and it takes you back to half way bit just keep pressing refresh as quick as you can and when you finally get through again it will have your other registered person details and your be able to enter you credit card details.

Keep trying,just keep refreshing and the tab will say BUY hackney tickets then wait for it to load up,i have just waited 1 and 1/2 hours to get ours and then had to decide if just me and the wife would go alone or risk trying to book mine and our sons separate :-(. Had to unfortunately just book mine and the wife's cause it was too risky and don't think she would want to go on her own!!! It will be worth it guys keep Refreshing!!!!!!!!! :-) Good luck everyone! (Blimey my first ever try at getting tickets for anything and first ever festival,what a mission! Hope its going to be good) x

I think they would use this restriction to prevent people outside the UK from booking tickets to a UK only event.



You can use the phone lines instead - but if I were a cynic, I might suggest they broke the website deliberately so the phone operators get more money for calls!

I've got through to music 4 times and it hangs up on me every time - it's hideous. It's just simply a question of luck if you get through. Website is a non-starter I got the same IP error message as well. If you manage to get through either by phone or website - it's a bleedin miracle! Even more fun when you've got the kids going on and on and on and on..... I say ditch it and sit in the sun!



I just got through online and it says both dates are now SOLD OUT!

Same here.... quite bizarre.

Phone lines constantly busy. According to the website, there will only be 30 telephone operators, so odds are not good for getting through :(

I know it's a free event, but this is a pretty half-arsed service IMHO.

What a joke!! :( called over 70 times and it says user busy. I did get through once and heard the music playing on the phone then it went silent and they hung up! :(Im in cheshire and my ip not permitted too wtf?



This is so frustrating!!!! I got through and entered my registration number and email then clicked submit and it took me right abck to the holding page??? anyone else had this?



UPDATE: REST OF UK TICKETS NOW SOLD OUT :( what a shambles that was. Hung up on on the phone and logged out when entering my details. then another registration it kept asking my computer to downlaod a file after i pressed log in that was not supported by anything on my computer. total joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, this is happening to a couple of friends and I. Either it's a crash or they're letting people from Hackney and the other special boroughs get them first. Try calling in?

Just gotten through to the buy tickets sections, entered details, and it says (from todays batch only i'm guessing) that both saturday and sunday dates are sold out, better luck tomorrow I suppose.

It did that for me but keep trying or tomorrow even cause I got to the holding page and was on there for bout 1 hour & then I got to entering the details & it takes you back to holding page.... BUT KEEP REFRESHING!! Cause it saves your details & when u get back onto the form it diesn't have to be filled again & be quick!! That's how I got my tickets!!

Same happened to me, just keep refreshing the page and it will eventually put u thru to a holding page and keep refreshing that till it lets you put your login details. Its a pain in the wotsit but it did work just had to stick at it.

i had that for ages, just keep refreshing eventually you get through to a waiting bit 'cause theres so many people. it took me and my friends just over an hour to finally book the tickets. good luck in getting them :)

I went through the booking NIGHTMARE process, finally got through, didn't realise you need to get mates with registration codes to add a guest! GUTTED got one ticket....oh ****.
