How good are the seats you win from radio contests?

Ok so I just won concert tickets! :)
And I was not told to pick up my tickets yet, but I was wondering...
If you HAVE won tickets or know, how good are the seats usually?

Like are they front row or first 5 rows?
I MEAN LIKE HOLY CRAP WHAT IF I HAVE SHITTY SEATS!?!?!? D:

As someone who works in radio, all I can say is, it varies...



For concerts at the local arena, there is a section that is reserved for our contest winners, which aren't too terribly great.



Other concerts that are being promoted by independent promoters who are supplying tickets for the contest will vary greatly depending on what they give us... some give us good seats, and some give us not so good seats.



There are a few times when we buy premium seats for special events to give away as an incentive to listen rather than to promote the event. These seats are choice... and in these cases the promoter knows it's a great show and that they don't need to give us freebies to give away for promotion.

I have won tickets to concerts from a radio station. They won't be towards the front, unless they specify that they are front row seats. They are about half way up, but not way in the boonies..
