I think it's great they have talk radio in the morning. I like a good stimulating conversation and love to hear different points of view. They are on during "rush hours" because it is a "captive" audience.

morning drive radio is centered heavily around news, weather, traffic and comedy with some music thrown in between all that stuff. that's why I got a cd player for my car.

A lot of people like talk radio. I, for one, prefer music when I drive. However, it is the station's choice. Typically, they will play whatever is giving them the higher ratings. Higher ratings brings more advertising dollars. Advertising agencies really don't care what format the station plays. They recognize that when the higher the ratings, the more people hear the ads. Evidently, you are in an area that prefers talk radio if its hard to find a station playing music during drive time, since drive time (early morning, late afternoon) is key radio time.
