Heard alot about these radios that are like DAB or are a DAB but pick up worldwide radio stations, what are they like? any good etc?

You may be hearing about shortwave radios which pick up world-wide signals. It's entirely possible that a manufacturer might be offering one that also receives UK's DAB. Check your favorite search engine. Here's one that showed up:

Internet radio isn't actually radio. It's more like an audio website. However it is getting promoted alongside DAB, hence there can be confusion. In fact I've noticed that whereas BBC stations used to announce their FM frequency first in their identity announcements they now say "online, on digital and on...." and then give the FM frequency.
